Rossella Palomba, a social demographer, devotes herself to studies and research about gender equality and equal opportunities. She has been coordinator of national and international research projects on the subject. She has also been a European Commission ambassador for equal opportunities in science. She works for CNR, Italy’s national research center, and has authored the ETAN Report on ‘Women in Science.’ Her books include: Vita di coppia e figli (La Nuova Italia 1987), Crescita zero (La Nuova Italia 1991); and Figlie di Minerva. Primo rapporto sulle carriere femminili (Franco Angeli, 2000).
